Hi, Following the request I received to *help keep the bad* lists up to date while Dirk’s official repository is not yet available*, I am sending you this update. Please note from the start that *this work is not intended to replace the official repository*in any way. Its only purpose is to *provide temporary help*to sysops until the official repository is fully restored and operational again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Why these changes were made Due to the number of questions and requests I have received, I have decided to simplify the way *bad**lists are maintained in DXSpider. The existing |load/badwords|command has been updated, and *three new load commands*have been created: * |load/baddx| * |load/badspotter| * |load/badnode| The main goal is to *make maintenance easier*, especially for sysops with *limited knowledge of the internal DXSpider system*. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ What these commands do The new load commands are designed with *data safety as the highest priority*. * Any data already defined locally on your node is *always preserved* * When a new file is downloaded, it is *merged*with the existing data * No existing entries are overwritten or deleted automatically * Sysops remain fully in control and can later remove or modify any entry In short: *nothing is lost, nothing is forced*. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Reminder: DXSpider built-in management commands DXSpider already provides commands to *view, add and remove*entries from all bad* lists: Show current entries: |sh/baddx sh/badspotter sh/badnode sh/badip sh/badword| Add new entries: |set/baddx ... set/badspotter ... set/badnode ... set/badip ... set/badwords ...| Remove entries: |unset/baddx ... unset/badspotter ... unset/badnode ... unset/badip ... unset/badwords ...| These commands continue to work exactly as before. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Important: please read the documentation Before enabling any automatic downloads, it is *strongly recommended*to read the README file: https://github.com/EA3CV/dxspider_info/blob/main/download/readme The README explains the correct installation order and how the new load commands work. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Where to find everything Load/merge commands: https://github.com/EA3CV/dxspider_info/tree/main/load Downloadable list files: https://github.com/EA3CV/dxspider_info/tree/main/download ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Once again, this is a *temporary solution*intended only to help keep things running smoothly until the official repository is available again. I hope this proves useful.
