Hi Jan,

Assuming that the file containing the backup is called “backup”, you only need to do the following:

scp /path/to/backup user@destination_host/path/to/destination/

However, I do not understand why you are performing a full backup. User-related data is stored in user_json.
If you run an export_user, the user_json file will be up to date, and you will then be able to restore it on any host running DXSpider.

In addition, this approach does not require stopping the service.

Asunto: [Dxspider-support] making a backup

Hello

I run dxspider on a Pi zero W.
Every time I grant a user complete access to the cluster or make some changes I have to make
a backup from the SD-card by removing it from the Pi and use Win32diskimager to put the image
on the PC and during this proces the cluster is down.
Now what I would like to do:
I would like to save a backup without removing the SD-card from the Pi.
I have SSH anabled.
What should I do to copy the image file from the SD-card in the Pi to the PC?
